PMC and Vision

WHAT needs to be done, WHO needs to do it, WHEN it needs to be done

Project Management Club aims to promote and encourage Project Management related activities at The University of Texas at Dallas through networking, speaker , workshops, mock exams and reviews for professional certifications.

It’s a common platform for the students interested in Project Management and related fields. A vision seen by the founder of the club along with the co-founders to promote importance of project management among graduate and under-graduate students at UTD.

PMP sessions

A pathway towards your PMP certification

The Project Management Club (PMC) in association with Project Management Institute (PMI) seeks to promote Project Management Professional (PMP) certification among graduate students at University of Texas at Dallas. The PMC will organise study sessions and knowledge sharing platform to help each other reach a common goal. Given the demand and toughness of the PMP certification, the hard work that goes beyond it cannot be neglected.

Business Analysis Training

Get involved in the BA case studies

The business analyst training sessions are conducted by student volunteers who have previously worked as Business Analysts and aim to provide interested students an industry insight into the life of a BA. The sessions cover a range of topics from the basics to requirement elicitation and efficient use of process diagrams. At the end of these sessions, we also conduct behavioural mock interviews to help the students be better prepared for their HR interviews.

The PMC will strive to help develop skills among graduate students

The club focuses on the following skills

Planning & Scheduling

Plans are nothing, Planning is everything.

Of all the things I've done, the most vital is coordinating those who work with me and aiming their efforts at a certain goal.

Public speaking

99% of the population is afraid of public speaking, and of the remaining 1%, 99% of them have nothing original and interesting to say.

Confidence comes from discipline and training.

Group Discussions

Discussion is an exchange of knowledge; an argument an exchange of ignorance.

Conflict Management

Conflict is drama, and how people deal with conflict shows you the kind of people they are.

Improved Productivity

Productivity is never an accident. It is always the result of a commitment to excellence, intelligent planning, and focused effort.

Better Internal Coordination

Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence wins championships.

Higher Worker Morale

A group becomes a team when each member is sure enough of himself and his contribution to praise the skills of others.
